Without any official qualifications WHATSOEVER Tom feels that the anthropology department at UCLA would have given Carlos Castaneda a Ph.D even if they were uncertain whether or not Castaneda lied and made the whole thing up.

Jeremy Donovan TBD has NO QUALIFICATIONS WHATSOEVER to judge whether or not Castaneda deserved a Ph.D for Journey to Ixtlan. From my studies, The Teachings of Don Juan was published in 1968. Journey to Ixtlan , the book that gained Castaneda a Ph.D, was published four years later in 1972. There was plenty of time for people to accuse Castaneda of being a fraud before he earned his Ph.D. For ANYONE to say that the anthropology experts at UCLA gave Castaneda a Ph.D when they were uncertain whether or not Castaneda made the whole thing up is ridiculous! It implies CORRUPTION and BRIBERY at the highest levels of the anthropology department of UCLA. I don't believe they were dumb enough to take that kind of a chance. The risks to the credibility of the entire university were much too high. I say it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that Castaneda bribed the anthropology department of UCLA into giving him a Ph.D. If YOU believe he did THE BURDEN OF PROOF IS UPON (((YOU))) to PROVE the positive of such an outrageous accusation, period. If you cannot prove Castaneda bribed UCLA into giving him a Ph.D, and you are not more qualified to judge such matters then YOUR OPINIONS ABOUT THIS MATTER ARE WORTHLESS! They are just like farts. They make a lot of stink and do nothing else. Yes, Jeremy, this means (((YOU))).

So, I'm man enough to consider a compromise. I've lost the desire to humiliate you in front of your fans and the only reason I posted the above material was that I had already written it earlier today. I took out all the insults I could, with a clear conscience, and am presenting a more civilized version of what I stated.
I'll tell you what happened, Jeremy. I suddenly realized that I had no real gripe with you. You and Guy are the only two people left from those old posters who really pissed me off. Ghost Dog, Corey Donovan, Wee Wee (that was his name, right?), Mr J Pest Control and the various other posters who pissed me off are gone apparently never to return. Good riddance.
Fact of the matter is I have ALWAYS considered you to be very intelligent.
