To Nu Lang, examples of black magic are all around us, telling a person they look like they have cancer, great example, certainly can be used in logical ways, to go to the doc early , get detected and treated etc etc. But to look at it from a sorcery perspective rather than a logical avg man's perspective, words have power, they are spells in an of themselves and we, as people with power need to use them wisely. Healers will tell you, that speaking with clear intent and power is the most important step in healing, not just from cancer, but from any illness, injury or dis-ease!
I know what you were saying, about the power of suggestion. I was just adding that we can't have a fixed definition about it all. We hunt power and sometimes that means we listen to what people tell us (omens) and other times we reject their perspectives because they are limiting (what you call black magic here). If we concluded its always black magic, then we would miss important signals from spirit, is all I meant. We have to always be available to spirit, which means we are sort of definitionless to a degree, though I do see we need to harness working definitions, but just be aware they are not certainties, the only certainty is our inner knowing (link to nagual) and even that transforms, but I say its what we put our trust in, follow.
The reason I say its not black and white is becasue good can come out of bad and bad can come out of good. I agree with you though that as sorcerers we must use our intent wisely. For we intend ourselves forward. For me intent is about freedom and release from self-reflection (conditioning), freedom from the limits of 'this world' as we speak about it here in this thread. Transformation into new worlds of perceiving. In order to do that we must first learn to navigate this one and then step beyond its confines. It all sounds so concrete but actually these are visual reference points, that perhaps end up one day being truly concrete, same as this world is. But whatever new worlds we assemble we would have to adjust to that and so we are back to that same need for navigation of such world. So the only thing left from this is seeing that fluidity (no reference) sustains everything.
