for me, personal power is accumulated by putting myself in the way of the Spirit.
it's a feeling of being a medium for something else - something working through me. when i'm experiencing in this way, it is immediate, forceful, powerful. moving over inside myself to let this other come through is the act which sets me in the way of power. the more i can do this, the easier it becomes. and when it ends, it's like being derailed somehow. things become heavier, more thoughtful. the more i live that - the heavier it becomes and the more difficult it is to believe i can get out of the way again. sometimes it is a moment, sometimes it is an hour. sometimes more.
i believe there are things you can do to make the alignment easier - more harmonious. herba matey mentions food and presence, for example. but in the end, for me it's all about this sense of moving over within yourself and allowing yourself to be this medium.... sustaining it and repeat encounters with it accumulate personal power.
