The term selfproclaimed is one that came into use at Sustained Reaction forum and was used to attack anyone who believed in naguals and or said they were one. One who has the link with the nagual spirit is not proclaimed nor self proclaimed. This description doesn't fit unless the proclaimer knows he/she is false. When the realization comes it is not proclaimed and in fact is hidden by most for fear of being judged as crazy or worse. If a nagual seeks a party of warriors it will soon be found out by the party if the nagaul is false or not. If one seeks money based on being a nagual well that speaks for itself. Naguals are not saints or better, they are most often tortured individuals. The best confirmation would be one tonal and one nagual sides, that of a warrior, for this has the best chance to attain freedom.
