why do you say it past tense?
If you are as you imply an infinite incarnating being...
then sureley it is possible you are currently in a "previous incarnation" to a future self!
as such is it the best future incarnation you wish to be your guide.? or the best "ROOT" incarnation..
and if you say " I want the best of both"
are you sure they are both you and you are not just being selfish?
even if you are present!
inherant awareness is in many ways created by our root incarnation!
but equally.. we represent inherant awarness for our future selves...
making certain wether we are a stone or not in this path of life is vital... and when!
