Better late than never.
I have apparently developed and successfully projected a three-dimensional double to which 10 people have seen thusfar.
Here's how it happened:
For years I practiced lucid dreaming; actually since about the age of 4 or 5 where at that tender age I was lured into an area that very closely approximates the labyrinth of penumbra or the realm of shadows. I rejected that realm much like CC did but it still makes its bid on a regular basis to see if I've changed my mind. Anyway, my lucid dreams progressed to where I learned how to move, how to choose the locations and how to interact with the beings in that realm. I'm almost 42 so you know how many years we're talking about.
At a given point about 5 or 6 years ago, I began to have this feeling like a heavy carpet rolling down the length of my body as I fell asleep each night. This coincided with sharp siezures where every now and then my body felt like it was hit with a taser in my midsection...I actually felt stunned for some time afterwards. These accounts are exactly what CC et al reported. Very soon after that my children, renters and other acquaintences started announcing that they would see me in various places at various times where other people and I could verify that I was not at that time and place but elsewhere with them.
This progression more than any other makes me know that Castaneda hit these aspects on the bullseye. Call it suggestion or what you want, but the realm of shadows I reached before I even knew how to read. Losing the human form happened to me just before I read about it. The double I had already read about at the time it started. The fact that other people are experiencing it and reporting it is more impressive to me than if I'd seen my double myself. These people for the most part hardly or don't even know each other and seperately corroborate what the others have reported.
Grooming the double takes YEARS of dedication to lucid dreaming, but it is not impossible for anyone to reach. Again, it can also be achieved by extreme fatigue (where mine likes to pop out), disease, shock, accident etc.
I've not heard anyone report seeing my double for a year now (last July) but that doesn't mean it isn't popping up and people are just assuming it's me without bothering to check it out. It is strange to know that a full three dimensional solid form of me wanders about and does God knows what. Occasionally my son would see it semi-transparent or only half materialized.And now: back to your regularly scheduled (de)programming...
