Concerning wannabees:
When I came to these forums a year ago, I purposely stated that I was just a regular somebody on the road of discovery. I have never claimed to be a guru, a
master sorcerer, an Indian Chief.
Discovery, examination--the road to knowledge of the Spirit ; Power.
I have experienced the Knock of the Spirit often enough, although I never encounter a Sorcerer. About 7 years ago, the Spirit knocked with a solidity to
great to ignore, the result of a divorce, and a death.
I was caused to change direction towards a more positive place. In the beginning , I thought I would find a nice little church , a new wife, a cleaner
lifestyle. This was not to be.
I was drawn to a local Church of Religious Science, originally founded by Ernest Holmes in the 1930's. This group is the originator of the
"Secret", now so popularized by Oprah and others. I found resonance, and expanded understanding. But, in the end , it nearly drove me mad. The
reason for this was that , perhaps against the original purpose of Holmes, this group practiced what is known as 'Prosperity Theology' . The idea that
one can become aligned with God and receive riches and blessings. This hooked my desires and boosted self-importance, to the point of total frustration and
disappointment. I moved on.
Synchronicity-being that one's questions are answered almost before they are asked.
