I can't help it. But , as a longtime fan of the Firesign Theatre comedy troupe , this always comes into my mind : "...how can you be in two places
at once when you're not anywhere at all..." Circa 1968 ? Oh bother!
Seriously , Focus means a lot ; cleaning the 'table of the Tonal' means a lot , too.
My focus , or bias if you like , is on Indians. For some reason , I just cannot ignore the possibilities that shaman had the time and place , in the day before
Columbus, to explore possibilities. These were a world apart even from their own people, not to mention the 'Toltecs ' of the Mexican pyramids.
Speaking of that , how about exploration of the western science claim that human sacrifice was performed at those pyramid? Maybe not don Juan's tradition?
Others conquered them . From "the Eagle's Gift" , I read about dangerous Power objects and human flesh eating , not unknown even to
contemporary history. Was this an exception? I say that some Indian ways were certainly alien , but not necessarily as horrible as whites sometimes portray
it. After all , when it comes to 'flesh eating' , what could have been worse than Adolf Hitler , or the Roman Empire for that matter.
This is just a brief perspective of things that make the Nagual a real possibility , to me.
