I believe the physical presence of "the nagual" as a human being might be undervalued in modern society. There are rumors of a visceral energetic
connection between people that can affect mood and energy levels. As human beings, we obsess on our fellow kind more than any other species. If we are going to
learn something about the world around us, we may learn at least as much from our fellow man as we learn from the world itself.
The neoshamans I write about, have a meditation in which they invoke goose bumps on their flesh. The hair on their arms and legs will stand on end as they
experience "chills", which you might associate with grand music or other lofty and expansive experiences. Not everyone is able to voluntarily invoke
such "chills". Interestingly enough, some people can only do it at first while they are in the presence of someone who is doing it. Some people have
spontaneous "chills" when they see the goosebumps on another's skin.
Golf comes to mind as something else that really requires a teacher.
