I have no problem learning from people and I have also experienced numerous times of enhanced awareness in the presence of my own "late" teacher. The
presence of spiritual people can light up abilties in others, it is true. The problem is when they are elevated in a student's thought to be
"above" them or "between" them and the Spirit.
It is only natural, though to do this. It is a human tendancy to look up to our spiritual teachers. But it is also important to keep in mind they were once
where we are.
I respect ability and knowledge in any area of life (even golf), but also realize my own connection with Spirit is not dependent upon anyone else.
Every bird must leave the nest in order to learn to fly.
