I will respond about the "burning from within" in this way. I have spoke of it on several occasions and been quite open about it. You just don't recognise it as such. Which has really been my point about this all along. Our idea of burning from within fostered by our shallow interpretations of what we think DJ meant via CC do match the actual experience hence the disconnect.
The same thing happens in Christian mystic circles. The idea of divine union as put forth by such people as St John of the Cross does not match the actual experience of it. So much so that for mystics who are actually experiencing this go years waiting for it to happen all the while they are actually living it. It was that way for me also.
