Interesting, isn't it? That the Israelites stood at the boundary of Canaan and were terrified to enter and take the land. Fear of the unknown keeps us secure in our state of misery...just because its familiar. So more wandering in the desert for Abraham's people....more time to become convinced that repetitive, looping, lost enmeshment in our own self-reflective limbo is not worth the thin comfort of familiarity. i.e.....if you're jaded, then go for it....launch into unbending silence and inward discovery. Even if it means shitting your pants, its better than the smouldering boredom of the social drone.
