The fog in many cultures over the world and it's myths is an element that is bound to the meaning of mystery, unknown.
Often sorcerers come out of the fog and warriors; adventurers venture into it.
Fog is impermeable by sight and distorts the level of actual seeing capacity, that creates element of unknown, from which then the magic can appear.
