Synchronized passes (as in a group effort) are not to be compared to a single being practising them I think.. The ancient seers was extremely keen on synchronized efforts according to Castanedas books and when he met the four buried ancient seers (also in the books) they suddenly started to move in a synchronized fashion that he described as hypnotic.
I have myself seen beings move in absolute tandem in my own "dreams" and it trapped me really..call it spellbound if you wish but I share your caution about group efforts.
