Yeah, I accepted it instantly myself. I was sitting in my granarents house in Santa Fe, my sister came in excited. SHe had made new friends next door, a young couple who rented room from my grandparents. They introduced my sister to cc's books, my sister comprehended them quite well, she was always a good explainer of things...a skill of her. So she proceeded to tell me about the rule, I recognized and accepted it instantly, it was a complete commitment, as I had been waiting for it to arrive. I was 14 then.
