I find rosy's post uncharacteristically clear and sensible (to me) . Apart from the edit on chickens, though I do see connecting lines to that as well.
One question I would have though and I would appreciate, rosy, if you could explain a bit.. You say the chamber "respected silence but not time." How does this not respecting time behave? - meaning something along the lines of: Why is it dangerous/bad? What would it do? What effects would it have?
And, seesaw, how do you learn about traps without venturing is that you are vigilant. And aware of boundaries and space(s), so when you come close to one you notice and then you can scout ahead a bit. Ok you might say for this to be able to be done that you already got into the space of influence of whatever it is you are approaching. But that does not have to be the case, I am not far enough to argue one way or the other for sure, but I could imagine that it is just visible without it being that territory yet. Maybe (or maybe not) like looking at a person and seeing his intent without talking to him or getting to know him or having anything to do with him - just scouting, picking up stuff, being vigilant and being aware of different spaces .
[ edit: even non sorcerers do it. they then say that such a person has 'good instincts' and some even call it 'intuition' ]
