We are given the steps to get from where we started to where we are going in steps we can understand or at least accept, and then sometimes with great effort. Then sometimes we are given something way beyond our ability to comprehend and it may take years for us to get an understanding of what it was that happened. We need to "catch up" with the experience. But that type of experience is a promise we can count on.
Life is a series of veils. A veil when meditated upon reveals what it conceals.It is all Spirit in containers until we reach the One.
Seems to me that it is more like god communicates and you turn it into symbols in an effort to understand. Without the human life those symbols would have no meaning. Also, merging back with the cosmic consciousness is something one does after death...and it would seem that if you did it now, while alive, your body would cease to live. To be in body is to be separate.
