Oh yes. Don Juan talked about always giving 'tokens ' to people in one's dealings with them. This occurred when he was teaching Carlos about
Tonals. DJ gave money to a group of country Indians they met. (From the 'Eagle's Gift' , I believe)
In fact , this is the very reason I began the thread Saying Thank You.
I would speculate that this is a way of storing energy , as well as establishing a Stalking presence.
Carlos was also made to go to extreme lengths to show gratitude to 2 women he was once close to.
Personally , I find this to be a difficult habit to acquire , although I have often been the receiver of such tokens.
