Why do you think Carlos went nuts with power?

he didn't go nuts with power,
he was nuts already.  with power
it was just more pronounced.
He was a true pig for life.
Once a pig always a pig.
When he did his "jump"  he
went completely insane.
Before that he was just a
little insane.   And if you follow
his insanity you too will go insane.
It leads no where.   Quit while you
are ahead and still somewhat sane.
