when you say it like this then it even seems common sense that there would be no lunar without the solar (talking about communities/systems now - as we were talking about above). There would be no light reflecting from the luna if there were no sunny part...

I find also that it would be selfish to just be in lunar mode / mood. The solar is what warms the world.
Yeah, lunar is cool....beautiful....mysterious. But can become dark and morose if "turned away" from the sun, its sole source of power, too much. Just like magical systems become dark and deranged the more they get diverted and diverted and diverted from the direct source. (Just an interpretation, ofc ) This plays into the phases of the moon, too...in a way if you think about it.
