This, to me, represents a key which can be extrapolated and applied to any 1st attention/2nd attention situation, whether one is a nagual or not. It's a kind of forbearance (as you call it) that defers to a truth beneath what is seen/experienced...beneath what perennially shifts and changes....between heaven and hell.
btw Rosy, thanks for the recent education in dreaming on the counterpoint between "paradise" and hell...the folly of unilaterally pursuing 2nd attention paradise. Quite the shocking eye opener
