. . .
Do you ever experience joy?
Such an amazing line of questioning
You asked about an idea and an emotion. Even I'm sitting here thinking if I ever experience joy and when that was; then I begin to wonder if Rosy has ever experienced joy. It would appear like he might not experience it as often as he lets on. Though I've seen Rosy happy and while I can't think of anything specific, I do recall that they were small things that brought him joy.
On a biological level, people who've exhausted particular synapses in their brain (through legal/illegal drug use) will notice changes to their cognitive chemistry
I know Rosy has talked about some of that in other threads, so that might explain some of his behavior (in the event you were curious).
For me, my past experience with others has limited but also deepened my ability to experience joy. For example, I find joy more in nature than I do in people. I struggle with receiving joy directly because I'm mistrustful. On the other hand, I find joy so easily if it's indirect, such as observations of people sharing joy will incite joy within me. Joy is such a precious emotion and it's a little sad that I struggle to experience it directly. Maybe that's a good thing? It means I don't rely on receiving joy from others, but I now have to either manifest it or observe it in nature. Those are good things, I suppose.
Thanks for the question.
