What does it mean to lie?
Consider the insect known as the "walking stick". It sought refuge from predators. It wanted to decieve them into thinking it was just a stick. Over time, it shapeshifted until that is exactly what it looks like today. Perhaps it had an unfortunate cousin whom, being unwilling to lie in such a fashion, is extinct today. Or perhaps we can look at the dance of the fireflies. The female of the firefly species Photuris has learned to imitate the mating dance of the female of a different species of firefly. She uses this to lure males in which she promptly eats. Some male fireflies have learned to copy a mimic firefly, which is an extremely dangerous predator, to chase off other males away from potential mates. And some fireflies are known to pretend to be both a female and a rival male, enticing the most competitive males to join them for dinner.
Of course nature doesn't show us this deceit to only insects, the cookoo bird has the remarkable ability to lay eggs that look like the eggs of other birds with nearby nests. Maintaining an unbending intent to avoid having to sit on a nest all day, the cookoo will lay a green egg and sneak it into the nest of a reed warbler who will mistake it for one of her own. Another year, that same cookoo may lay a brown, spotted egg to deposit into a meadow pipet's nest. Flora and fauna of all different types have learned to adapt disguises to look like poisonous or otherwise less appetizing species.
So what is nature teaching us with all these examples? That a lie, told with unbending intent, becomes true and thus not a lie. This is why a nagual cannot lie. One who has such unbending intent in his words as a nagual will bring about change as he speaks. If I, as a nagual, were to tell someone that they are falling down drunk as they read this, that person would instantly become drunk and remember having been drinking for hours prior to reading my words. My words would create the reality of it, and thus I would not be lying.
So as you gain power on your path lie well my friends, for in some timelines your words are already truth.
