This indeed seems to be true .... when we work with recapitulation ....

In my experience though ....after the recapitulation ..... another kind of development starts to take place, that of "unification" of our male/female .... animal/spirit ...life/death sides ...... which is more of a "vertical path" rather than the "horizontal" recapitulation, and as such, the meaning of zero gains another meaning entirely.
In regards to balancing our male/female sides on this "unification path" .... f.e.x.
Tantric Practice of union of the two polarities:
"In Tibetan Esoteric Buddhism, the primal force of human sexuality which transcends the conceptual mind and creates new life is the foundation for Tantric practices that rely on the "red and white" essences within the practitioner's body to generate the "blissful body of awakened mind". As the Dalai Lama stated, "In the view of Tantra, the body vital energies are the vehicles of mind. When the vital energies are pure and subtle, ones state of mind will be accordingly affected. By transforming these bodily energies we transform the state of consciousness.
Tantra never turns from the creative energies of mind and body, but seeks to harness and explore their power to bring greater awareness into the often unconsciousness, instinctive aspects of existence. Ultimately the mind is converted from dualistic passions to a radiant bliss which reveals the luminous nature of reality. As the Seventh Dalai Lama wrote:
Vital energies generated by inner or outer means
Are drawn into the body's central energy channel,
Causing the mystic fires to blaze.
Inspire us to gain great insight
into the innately produced great Bliss
The AH is the philosophy of sunyata and is also the first word a child utters, the starting point of a vibrational wave from which all words will be produced just as all phenomena are produced in Sunyata. The half AH is the tummo, red in color, red bodhi or female bodhi and corresponds with the ovum. This half AH is the fire element in wisdom. When it rises it meets the male component or white bodhi called HUNG. HUNG is the water element and is connected with the male semen. The HUNG and AH are called wisdom drops. When they unite or melt together through the power of deep breathing, much nectar and bliss pervades the whole body. The entire body becomes light and begins to transform into a rainbow body.
Through the wisdom drops, with the help of wisdom breathing, aided by the outside visualization of the mandala of the Pure Land, the five elements of Buddhahood are brought inside and gnosticized into wisdom fire. This wisdom fire can dissolve the flesh of the human body and transform the entire human body into light (literally). This is the true rainbow body, without death and without flesh, capable of expanding to the vastness of the Dharmakaya or to the minuteness of a single grain of sand. This is the truth of the Tantra, the experiential fact of the complete identification of mentality and materiality".

When it comes to unifying our animal and spirit sides ....
In the Finno-Ugric/Siberian Shamanic practices .... we "raise our nature" .... i.e. we align ourselves with our Totemic Ancestor Animal, raising the energy of it, and in similar fashion to the Tantric Practice we then draw the Spiritual Essence into union with it .... within the said central channel. Within the emptiness and purity of the central channel.
This union causes inner or mystic heat ...... and we start to feel like a "living flame" .... which in turn shifts our AP dramatically, to that of a "witness", yet ones body being a vehicle of union to this "witnessing". Witness being "The Zero".
After some time (perhaps) .... when our cocoons light up like this ..... a window of opportunity arises .... and The Eye appears ..... and we start to feel the pull of "The Eye of The Dragon" beckoning us to enter and go through it ....... "dissolving into the blue sky" ......
This is just my account of the Dragon experience .... to add to this thread.
