WILD: how does it feel when you try this method?

yoriyona wrote:i attempted this for the first time in a long time and i went through a lot of weird bodily sensations. there were times where i felt like i drifted almost into small dream-like settings (saw my little brother waving a small animal over a rat i think), but then my mind got detracted from things like my arm getting uncomfortable (i slept on top of the shoulder), my foot going numb for a a few minutes, non-stop drool, my jaw and teeth clentching. for about an hour and a half this went on for. there was a point where i just couln't take it anymore. when i got up, the numbness on my leg wasn't there, but my arm felt sore for a few minutes. had to clean the drool, which didn't seem normal in the sheer amount it came out. is this what a WILD should be like? should i practice sleeping on my back more? i've heard it's supposed to be discomforting in terms of itching, even the shaking in the eyes, but is it normal if my arm hurts like this? and how long did it feel like it took you to get into a succesful WILD?

definitely want to hear your answers cause i don't want to do anything wrong and end up with a locked joint in my arm or whatever. i also don't think the drooling is necessary, except i can't help it since it kind of collects in my mouth and then i feel it.
Any amount of drool can be normal WILDs require you to fall asleep. If you're uncomfortable, this will make it more challenging to fall asleep. My suggestion is to find what's most comfortable for you and use that method. The point is to retain awareness as you lose it to enter the spirit. How you do that is your unique entry. Until you discover your chosen method you might consider trying a variety of methods
