You sound a lot like me. I too have merged my dreaming attention with my waking attention and I live inside of the second attention. My configurations are not random though, as I can now plan and control which awareness I activate. I dont like random energetic configurations. I prefer to willfully guide my attention with control and mastery. I like to know where I am going before I get there. However I do have trust in the nagual, the unknown, and open myself to what it shows me from the Spirit. Trust and faith often lead the way for me.
That sounds like a good talent to be able to walk blindly through your dream after one look. I never tried that. Can you shift into a dream that copies your world? Like entering a twin position, a clone of your world? That is what I often do and also make changes to the original place. I know the old sorcerers used to gaze at an object or place nd then recreate that place in dreaming. I bet with your power you would be good at this?
