Glance I get your point. As you, I have before done Dreaming explorations and been to IOB world as well. I do not like that kind of IOBs much. Then why do I take the Gates up now, when I achieved much more in Dreaming that just becoming aware and lucid? It is time for me to examine the teaching of Don Juan and therefor I go by the book and it is a good way to get my Dreaming skill in good shape again as well as polish the details of the Dreaming awareness. Like this one about working with focus on objects in Dreams.
About the IOB I will follow that up in the tread on the 2nd gate of Dreaming. There is other kinds out there than those Don Juan played with.
