Over a period of about the last half-dozen or so years, I have had some non-lucid dreams in which I am confronted by a gigantic blue scarab man about nine
feet tall. The dream is usually the same, with the guy greeting me at the door of an ornate house and inviting me in. In the dream I try not to act freaked
out that there is a giant beetle talking to me, and follow him to the living room where I can see the backyard through some windows. The view I see of the
backyard is of a place that I have seen before in a pivotal lucid dream, as if the two dreams have been sandwitched together. To make a long story short, in
my last encounter with the tree, I had focused on using my dreaming body as the primary consciousness in the dream, not only did it strengthen my grip on
everything, but I also turned into the big blue beetle during the event. The feeling stayed with me all day afterwards. Now, I sense that this is what I was
supposed to do. Somehow, the scarab and the tree go together, it is definitely standing guard now. It was not really the turn of events I was expecting. I
was rather hoping that my dreaming body could turn into a crow instead, but, such is life. That's a very cool photo that you posted PerSyd, I don't
see any sunlight around the beetle though, it just has a sky colored sheen to it.
