"-adapting to the needs of another, instead of enabling poor habits"
This is a great one for me to remember.
Observing my naturally waxing and waning energetic state, seeing the interplay between strength and weakness play out from day to day, there's this notion of aligning with others who are weak.....not to exploit their weakness for my gain...but to be in alignment in order to support/encourage/find solutions. I don't interact much with other people, being introverted and generally socially phobic....but I can align within my intent...within space created by inner silence and meditation. I can imagine what others go through and align with those difficulties others experience, given they are similar in varying degrees to any difficulties I've experienced, in order to provide support. Not to enable, as you say NM....but to help others find that inner resource to "rally" , as Serloco put it in another thread.
I wonder if one can help recapitulate another's more challenging experiences in this way? I remember CC was encouraged to recapitulate Nagual Julian's life...and his awareness, in this process, became so attuned that he actually began to relive/experience Julian's life in high-def detail.
The Buddhist process of Tonglen is similar to this, if I understand correctly. MS would know about this practice
