Why all the bullshit? Physics says power is the ability to do work, and it is measurable, as in the definition of horsepower...(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsepower). As with horses, humans have variable amounts of power available which are measurable by their effects. In addition, humans seem to have psychic powers as well, not so easily measurable but certainly noticeable by those affected. When don Juan talked about personal power, he meant by that, "psychic power", the ability to mess with others or to advance oneself. I don't believe he qualified either as "bad" or "good".
