Joh 11:49
And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,
Joh 11:50
Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
Joh 11:51
And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
Joh 11:52
And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
Joh 11:53
Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.
A good example of Spirit using an enemy to "prophecy" or speak the words of God.
It is happening all around us all of the time but we have to See it. Or Hear it, rather.
When a conversation is boring or agravating we can change our perspective.
Shift to listening for the meaning that others are not hearing.
Sometimes the reafirmations we need are hidden in peoples words.
We are living in two worlds at the same time. (At least two)
A person who can "See" could read in the above quote two "sources", meanings or intents for the words spoken. One meaning originating from the "enemy" Caiaphas, the other from the Spirit.
This, I believe, is the reason that this verse exists in Scripture. For this very reason. So that we can recognise that Spirit works this way sometimes and by realizing this, we can apply it in our daily lives.
Sometimes God speaks through the "bad guys."
Another example of this is when after being sold into slavery by his brothers, falsely accused of rape, put into prison and almost executed, Joseph was reunited with his brothers. (An allegory of reaching the Totality of ourselves)
Then, after 20 years away from his brothers and having attained to second in command of the entire Egyptian Empire, he reveals himself to his brothers (who did not recognize him) and says, "You meant it for evil but God meant it for good."
So not only words can be interpreted in this way, but situations also.
Sometimes we just have to shift gears and look for what is happening.
Look deeper.
