Actually I would like to answer that since the quote is not from me..though I liked the gist of it.
What is worth dying for? I have found there is nothing worth dying for except our truth. If forced to live a lie, or to live by someone else's view of the world rather than follow my own, I would rather die because my life would be over. That's not to say I don't listen to others or care what they think, in truth others help shape my view, and I gladly welcome it, but its done so with the total awareness it's my choice and path.
When we abandon ourselves, our dreams, we feel it in our solar plexus region...it becomes weak and shallow, like its empty. The shell of who we could be. So, I would see dying as a fitting alternative to enduring a lifeless life. In such, death actually represents love for life. Only life.
