Saw a Truman Capote movie with the character Lone Wolf...one tough dude that guy. He would accept no one and wanted no one in return. Doesn't mean there's no love...just wild perhaps. Which brings up a good point...is social love good for us? The kind that says "You can own me, if I can own you?" A sort of "let's make a deal" approach.
A paradox being that the great compromisers of life don't actually compromise anything, they merely stand alone, beside others who are able to do the same. In contrast, those who try to make deals expect adherence and behavior modification, a false compromise, as nothing is gained from it except the mundane world of controlling others we all already know about.
I know about this meaning of compromise based on what a lady who could see far into the future told me about two men I would come to know and with who I would eventually end up with...a choice to be made, by me. The end of the beginning.
