Stalking the urge to criticise
#29
Hey Turin,
Revisiting your lead post today. My responses to you earlier here were overlooking a valuable observation you had. I have to confess I originally didn't want to "go there" because it sounded too much like the PP confronting method which I do not like...the "get the shadow out of us" stuff we used to do, so I was trying to emphasize acceptance (total acceptance) of self, which was where I was at when I posted. It was my truth and I was not doing anything beyond what I thought was most relevant. But what you said here came to my attention today:

"While I was listening to her I realized that I had started a feeding frenzy and the energy was feeling bad in my heart, negative, and I abruptly said 'let's change the subject'."

I see you made a breakthrough of sorts...maybe you have done it before but your recent experience was significant enough for you to post. The fact that you felt something that didn't feel right...I think the value of that is we know not to follow it any longer. Once you felt it, you stopped, which lead to your friends saying "why do you do this?" and so alerted a pattern and your posting here was to stop the initial beginning point...the point where you allow it to happen in the first place. What I think is most relevant now is that you were identified with it. What needs to happen, my opinion anyway, is we need to see we are not it, the foreign installation, ever. Once we see that then to hold that awareness. Hold, hold it, and hold it. Its a valuable vantage point. And this may have been what you were feeling about it to perhaps?
Now this will conflict with the Buddhist view..."we are everything", I know, lol. The shamanic view does have a different vantage point. And I feel I may have a hard time explaining what I mean if asked...but will do my best. Its not that Buddhism is right and Shamanism is wrong, nor is it the other way around. Its just right now I like the Shaman approach--see the FI is the "other", and keep it that way. It not evil, but its not us either. Instead follow Spirit. This increases our Power, which in turn keeps us Free.
Ok, this is my experience so may or may not be relevant to you, but thought you would find my change of view refreshing at least. Giving validity to your initial observation, as it is deserved.
