Stalking the urge to criticise
#30
Thanks Wei, apprecaite you taking the time to acknowledge that. It was a great example to me of the value of having reliable honest reference points around one. By having the courage to point out what I was doing my friend made me conscious of it, she stalked me! And now the effect is amazing! I am stalking myself on this - and its now harder to criticise anyone behind their back ever since that happened. The Foreign Installation is no longer being 'fed' by this activity and I feel a little bitty 'cleaner'. I witness the urge before the words come out my mouth.

Whether it exists or not I don't know, but as a tool the concept of the Foreign Installation is helpful, it helps us to appraise ourselves without taking what we see too personally, to view ourselves and our motives and behaviour with impartiality and more detachment. After all its easier to admit to something in ourselves if its not really us but something foreign inside us!

I have a sense that the 'we are everything' is correct on a higher turn of the spiral. Sometimes what is true on a lower level is not on a higher level. Maybe we are ultimately the Foreign Installation too, maybe we designed it ourselves as part of the system here to provide us with enough resistance needed to build our consciousness...much like the weights on an exercise machine provide us an opportunity to develop our muscle. The Dark Side has its place I strongly suspect that part of our purpose here on this planet is to build immunity to 'evil', and learn to use our freewill correctly i.e. make choices in harmony with the Tao. And for that a descent into contamination is necessary first.

Unconscious Unity to Separation to Conscious Unity
