I am not sure what you call ancillary (subordinate, secondary?) energy.
And also not sure what you call the new world - but here I assume you just mean the next assemblage position that the not doing (esp of the second type you mention) is taking one to.
For me path 2 is the one I am on (in certain things it can overlap with path one).
Sure, the first one is more dramatic (I guess that is why you call it bombastic)
