Well I'm just taking those seven from the chapter "Florinda" from The Eagle's Gift. Gathering intelligence and forming strategy might interfere with the edifice of Intent.
The Spirit gathers the intelligence and gives omens as to stragety therefore. The best stalkers know this and don't waste energy interjecting their own agendas into a strategy. Self-importance will foul the plan every time. The remedy is to be perenially open to suggestion from without.
Bear in mind that I'm saying this as a warrior in learning. I've really put my nose to the grindstone with stalking these last few years. Every time I form a strategy it almost always fails. When I retreat and occupy my time elsewhere, omens fall at my feet and I'm learning to just act instead of thinking about them and sullying them up with my own wants/needs/folly.
