The following comes from the website of Howard Lee, better known as H.Y.L. from the dedication to him in the beginning of the book The Fire From Within by Carlos Castaneda. For the sake of emphasizing the point I intend to make let me share that exact dedication as it appears in my original first edition copy of the book. Interesting how all the words in this dedication are in capital letters. Cant remember ever seeing book dedications to people all in caps:

Unless I am mistaken this Light Of Life Energy is what Howard Lee has been all about since the time Castaneda was his student. When I directly contacted the Howard Lee office his secretary wrote me back telling me that indeed Carlos Castaneda was a student of Howard Lee for about ten years, but was never brought into the Induction Experience that, according to what is written on Howards site is surprisingly easy.
According to what I am sharing here: It is surprisingly easy to become initiated into the Energy - you just come to an "Induction of Energy" workshop and "get it."
So are we to believe that Castaneda was a student of Howard Lee for TEN YEARS and was not able to go through the Induction Experience that is supposedly surprisingly easy for anyone coming to a workshop on the process for the very first time??????? If that does not say something about how Howard Lee felt about Carlos Castaneda then nothing does.
I cant help feeling that if I had ever attended a lecture of Carlos Castaneda I would have walked out on him sooner than I walked out on Florinda Donner Graus lecture.
