I had a major sequence of reapitulations in my dreaming last night.
It revolved around the influence that a very powerful man has had on my life.
I was born into this world with extreme sensitivity. My early years were filled with daydreams and fantasies. I could close my eyes and visualize other worlds that would captivate me for hours. I visited a magical forest whenever I wanted. It was so real sometimes I couldn't tell it from the waking world.
I could not seem to BRIDGE the gap between worlds because nobody around me seemed interested in my inner life. My ability to enter these inner worlds began to fade as I got older.
Then I met a man, when I was in my 20's, who valued and explored his own inner life. He accessed great power from within. He could not only walk on fire, but he could take coals from the fire with his hands without being burned. He could alter radio and tv reception and was able to stay awake for a month at a time. He could sit and look at a light bulb for hours while drawing energy from it.
My sensitivity had caused me to be a people pleaser up until I met this man. His advice and influence on me was to "do whatever you feel like doing at all times", without regard to anyone else's judgements or opinions. This allowed me a great deal of freedom. The missing element from his advice though, was to not take things personally.
I became very good at expressing my inner impressions and became very spontaneous in my actions. But because I continued to take things personally, I also became very impulsive and impatient in my dealings with people and situations. I went from being extremely introverted to being extremely extroverted.
Now my goal is to find the middle ground. By not taking things personally (from the 4 Agreements) I believe I can find that balance.
My dreaming last night began with a series of sequences in which the powerful man from my past got into trouble from his impulsiveness, and then switched to a sequence where I was visiting my mother in Florida (a journey into my past).
I had taken a motorcycle ride into a nearby town and gotten lost. I asked for directions from a very nice woman (Singer?)and was told to cross over this covered bridge to a highway that would lead me back home.
I started driving the motorcycle over the bridge but the passage became very narrow (narrow was the word I told to Singer and Castor in a lucid dream as a password). There was a woman with a baby carriage in front of me. We reached the end of the bridge where there were stairs leading to the street below.
The baby in the carriage rolled out as the woman started down the stairs. The baby rolled down to the last step, very close to the street, where a large bus was approaching. The woman couldn't get around the carriage to save the baby, and I couldn't get around the woman and the carriage to get to the baby. I was extremely frustrated that I couldn't help.
A man walked by on the street and reached down to save the baby, but a dog attacked the man as he reached for the baby. Then the dog's owner ran up and tried to control the dog, but the dog turned on him as well. The dream ended with the baby still on the last step and me not being able to get to it.
The recent dreams of snakes (awakening the kundalini) and of the two silver coins, representing balance, seem to be omens for a new phase of experience.
