Recapitulation insights

"Those anchors are more deeply seated; belief in natural laws, definitions of living organisms, reliance on senses (or devices that mimic and amplify sensory perception), dependency on form, and so on"

Nice i.e. those perennial cognitive inflections, which barely require any effort on our part since so mechanized, which render the world seemingly solid and, more than that, boring as hell.

I remember Carol Tiggs, at a seminar once, saying we have to walk around looking at things as if we are on mars. Point being, cultivating that state of perception which perceives the inherent weirdness of things...which makes room for a sense of awe...not from an ideologic standpoint...but from an experienctial one...one which is in awe because of the dawning realization that we really don't know what we are perceiving...or cannot really categorize it..it's too awesome! The image of dawning realization is standing, looking at something which was previously so familiar...taken for granted...and having that view unravel and expand into something beyond words..something which saturates our being..engaging all of our fibers...forcing them to stretch out to apprehend it. The mouth drops open...slack...in awe

We may be probes from Infinity and Beyond...but we've forgotten it....so it's like probing back to remember/recover that connection...or some inkling of it...so that we probing further with greater intensity and gusto mondo lol
