IMO, if one has done an effective recapitulation, there is no need to drop personal history. That assumes all the negatives have been examined and dealt with. It's rather akin to the famous "life review" all supposedly go through at their death. Perhaps recapitulation is a life review prior to dying. Even so, it seems to me, our history defines us to a great degree. It would seem a stupid loss not to carry history from one life to the next since there seems no other way to gauge progress.
