Hi Lujan,
"I hope you find this interesting
Part of what has been written here has largely been contributed by one of my oldest students; Naomi Jean"
It is interesting and I said there is a lot of truth to what Naomi Jean has come up with. It shows a great degree of self observation.
It reminds me of certain principles that I have learned over the years. The difference between knowledge and Gnosis or experiential knowledge.
"Now when you were reading this your assumption was something other than what you know now. Even though you would say that it was your real mind that has
responded"
Is that the truth?
I would say that it is my "Carnal " mind. That cause and effect mind that everyone uses until they find out there is more. That they are more. But
again, it the mind we use to communicate and deal with others. Language is a part of it and we have to use it to share ideas and basically get along in this
world.
But to get more to the point your "story" has a lot in common with spiritual visions. The story or the vision is not as important as what you learn
from the story or vision. The Principles that stay with you after the story or vision fade. These are the important things.
These are the principles I recognise in Naomi's ideas. These are the principles whereby you recognise truth in what someone is saying or whether or not
they have experienced or are just parroting.
My teacher once said to me, "You take the principles that I have taught you and apply them in your own ways." This was a very freeing statement to
me. I didn't need him anymore. Though I still respected his advise. Our purposes and interests lie in different areas. All of us. We can use the principles
of Don Juan, Jesus or others to just live. To explore and create what we wish to explore and create.
On a personal level this is a breaking of a fixation, a door to a fluidity I hadn't had before.
Having come from a Castaneda and then later a Christian Qabala path it is easy o be caught in dogma if you are not aware. Not because of the systems of
knowledge, but because of carnal men's interpretation of the principles being taught.
A good example of someone being freed from wrong thinking by vision can be easily found on the internet. It is called the vision of Margaret Macdonald. When I
first ran across it I knew she was my sister in the spiritual sense because of the understanding that she had. The principles behind the vision, not the vision
itself is what she stressed. And her understanding of the book or "story", or vision of John far out weighs any school of thought concerning the
"End Times." In fact, I know of no other published documents that display her understanding of the subject. That is because she saw the principles
behind John's attempt at relating what he had seen and heard.
Look it up and read it. You will be amazed at the implications. By the way, Margaret Macdonald was only sixteen years old and living in the 19th century when
she came to this understanding.
