Editing to post a ps: (btw, Techie... just out of curiosity... see?... ya can fare well all by yerself... but since ya made some focus on da issue of personal integrity in dis post - with which me for one is 100% behind ya on it - me would like to offer ya a suggestion fer ya to consider... next occasion ya offer an example, such as dis one from Sylvia, ya may do yerself some good service in terms of personal integrity (and thus boost yer personal credibility without yer FI being able to do dick all about it to stop it from happening) with a simple, tiny, insignificant act: the act of mentioning da reference from where ya got dis example of yers... 'cos although silly croco here knows only too well da authoring source of dis example of yers, da rest of da forum readers may not know it... and it's always good practice, honesty wise, to offer such references, huh... just me two scales of opinion, fer watever dey may be worth to ya - if anything at all, 'f course
First off, thanks very much for your feedback. It was greatly appreciated. But with regards a source reference for my example, in all honesty, I didnt use any references nor quote directly from any other sources. I can say without any regrets that this writing occurred to me off the top of my head. I also made it clear at the beginning that it represented my understandings of ideas, which have already been discussed on the forum (and in the case of my own postings, the sources have already been properly referenced). But this is my own unique synthesis of those ideas. I have been reading and highly influenced by the writings of Theun Mares and often use his terminology. But if you are claiming I deliberately copied the example I offered, word for word from some other source, I would have to disagree, no matter how much you insisted on such. I would be interested, but not at all bothered if you did come up with such a reference. There is the outside possibility that I read it somewhere and forgot I did, but it wasnt intentional. My concern was to offer material unique to the forum to help others come to an understanding, which I feel I have. Nothing more. I do appreciated your advice of being careful to site references but also feel that in the context of what I offered, it just simply would not be a big deal if there were similar material out there, which I either didnt know about or neglected to mention unintentionally.
So please do tell us all what authoring source youre referring to and be specific so I can read this example (or remember having already done so). And if my FI has truly pulled the wool over my eyes this time, I will certainly appreciate your corrections. Im here to learn, and I just happen to hold your own level of insight and personal integrity in high esteem.
