This reminds me of a part in the Brihardaranyaka Upanishads:
And to this day, whoever in a like manner knows the self as "I am Brahman," becomes all this universe. Even the gods cannot prevent his becoming this, for he has become their Self.
Now, if a man worships another deity, thinking: "He is one and I am another," he does not know. He is like an animal to the gods. As many animals serve a man, so does each man serve the gods. Even if one animal is taken away, it causes anguish to the owner; how much more so when many are taken away! Therefore it is not pleasing to the gods that men should know this."
So if these gods, archons or whatever entities live of our emotional energies, regard us as their 'lifestock', what role do the flyers play in it?
Are they just another kind of energy consuming entities?
They pursue different strategies, to get at their food.
The gods make themselves known as some kind of higher lifeforms that require to be worshiped in order to have a beneficial effect on our lives. Otherwise they threaten that we will get the 'wrath of the gods' and suffer from disastrous events. Thats blackmail.
The flyers get us to take them to be our selves. We are not supposed to know anything of them. They want us to derive a false sense of self from THEIR thoughts and emotions.
To notice them and disidentify from them is the first step into freedom.
Are these two forms of predetors in competition with each other, or do they work together?
Are the flyers a kind of 'cowboys' for the deities?
Was the invention of momotheism a kind of monopolisation of foodresources? Are those "I'm-the-only-god-and-creator-of the-universe" god's like Jahwe and Allah food-companies who trade their goods off to the other gods?
In India nearly every sage and every village seems to have it's own deities.Are those some kind of self sufficient farmers, who keep just enough people to nourish their own family?
Just a few thoughts that crossed my mind when I was reading this very interesting forum about the F.I.'s.
I find this place very encouraging to try harder to go beyond the mind and stay there as often and as long as possible.
