It is a book of spiritual science. An "owners handbook" on the human body soul and spirit, as my teacher was fond of saying.

At the deeper levels the Bible is about touching with real Power. I have come to look at the Old Testament as a warning sign. If you touch on those powers
without proper "rewiring" so to speak it will destroy you.
It is said in the Qabala if you become one with a "Sephirah", (one of the "emanations" or "aspects" of "God") whatever
you think in your mind manifests in matter. Even to the point of miracles such as changing the weather and raising the dead. All of the battles in the Old
Testament are actually battles within us.
The "fear" of God is actually the word "Awe" in Hebrew. It refers to a type of respect that you might have for lightning, High voltage
electricity or a tornado.
It is not that God is angry at anyone. It is a warning against touching something you are not yet ready for.
If God did not care He would not have warned us.
The fine tuning you refer to IS the "getting ready" part.
Touching some of those powers by "Rising on the Planes" or becoming "One With" a Sephirah by someone who has not at least begun to work on
either self importance or ego or facing their own emotions etc., would destroy them body, mind and maybe even soul.
God is Love, but He is also a "Consumming Fire."

become aware of problems to be solved,.."
When Jesus cast these things out of people he condemned no one. He had compassion on them. They were victims of this plane we are in and the beings that
inhabit it. Just as we are.
