Nagual Lonewolf asked me what I think the FI is. I replied with what was written, that the FI is a false mind. As I
kind of get it , I was inspired to put a bit more meat on this bone. In TALES OF POWER , don Juan says that the Idea is the crux . That to hold a thought is
to realize it in Dreaming. So , as thoughts and ideas are of the mind , the false mind means holding false ideas. That a thought can be made reality is a
principle I came across some years ago , and have been considering that principle deeply. Certainly , a lot of people have a lot of the wrong ideas about many
things. Politics Sex and Romance and so on. Biblically, there is John 1:1-in the beginning was the word...all things made through him. This idea
is that each person is connected to infinity by his mind , and , if Power allows, thoughts become substance. And , there is no discernment in this power, so
ideas , right or wrong , become real to us.
Concerning the idea of things , the title of this post is one , also from TALES OF POWER. Speaking of the way of a warrior, don Juan speaks of the
relationship of masters and beggars to one another, and how these roles are not practiced by warriors. This status or lack of it is also part of the FI. The
eternal 'pecking order' . The warrior neither requires bowing and scraping , nor does he expct it from others. The humbleness of a warrior. I found
a form of this in the Bible , Matthew 18 , the ungrateful servant. There was another , don't recall where , but Jesus was saying that a guest at a home
should not take the 'high seat ' lest he be embarressed, and be required to move to a lesser place in front of everyone. These are good lessons of
humility , but I can see how the Status order is maintained. So , to me, the warriors way is a better idea. Finally , in this same book is a
statement that has stuck. While instructing Carlos, don Juan says that average human beings are the true sorcerers. Black witches , I'll bet. There's
an old paperback that covers this one, "Games People Play" , or maybe "Escape From Freedom" , by Erich Fromm. That's FI to
