What the Foreign Installation Is.
#45
Hello List members, I am new to this list as well as the Castaneda list, elsewhere on the web.

I've been a reader of CC since the 70's. Been in various traditions. currently I earn a living as a holistic doc/homeopath. When I recently read
CC's last book and the mention of the "flyers', it instantly reminded me of Eckhardt Tolle's, 'Pain body'. He calls it an alien-like
foreign being that lives with us. At the time when I read that last year I found it a curious thought that he would personify what I took to just be our
internal psyche full of the mommy-daddy trauma issues we create defense mechanisms against. Then I thought about the ancient Orthodox Church monastic
literature. I refer to the Ladder of St John Climacus. There are 20 or 21 steps to reach perfection = 'theosis'. the monk must struggle against the
passion or "demon' of gluttony, lust, anger, envy,...all the way to pride - the last "demon'. The ancient Christian monastic literature is
replete with such descriptions of doing battles with the demons, for instance, St. Antony the Great of Egypt. The demons he struggled with appeared as
shadows, serpents, et cterea.

Then, in my homeopathic studies, we follow what is know as the "Bombay school" which has shown that all humans are in a "state". That
state may be a Plant, mineral, or animal state, as the vast majority of homeopathic remedies can be divided into these three kingdoms. This pathological
'state' is what is responsible for mental, emotional and physical imbalances, especially all the strange/rare/peculiar traits of each individual. When
we find and/or get the similimum (the one homeopathic remedy that matches our unique state) then the energetic vibration of that state is nullified by the
remedy, and we can now just fully be human and manifest the human morphogenic field (the human mold), without the imposition of the foreign morphogenic
"state'.

What I'm getting at is, that there seems to be multiple fields and speakers who are pointing at the same thing. Even L. Ron Hubbard in Scientology, and
Palmer of Avatar have spoken of such foreign energy field leaches or "engrams'.

I have found that the correct homeopathic remedy based on costitutional core essence prescribing gives new energy to free the individual from this Foreign
Installation. I believe they are all speaking of the same thing. Homeopathy calls it the "state' or illness. The Christian monks call them
demons/spirits. Scientology = engrams. Don Juan = "flyers" or Inorganic beings. Eckhardt Tolle = the "Pain body'.

These states create as well as thrive on our negative painful emotional energies = lusts, angers, jealousies, envy, depression....you name it. Don Juan
mentions discipline. Indeed the Christian monastic live was extremely disciplined, leading to humility in Christ. To lose one's self so that
"Christ' may live in us. For a prideful person, the abbot would have them clean latrines for years, for example.

I think also the homepathic remedy, the "similimum' as we call it, helps tremendously. Our foreign installation may behavior like any number of plant
remedies (always affected by things, sensitive), or like many of the mineral remedies ( fearful of loss of structure in life = job, money, security,
relationship), and the animal based remedies have in common the themes of (survival, competition, attractiveness, sexuality, high/low, strong/weak)

Anyway, these are just my observations. Putting into practice all of this is difficult, but must be done with all the things written up in Journey to Ixtlan.

Also, silencing the internal dialogue is easier if the attention is split between two things = listen to the external sounds around you and simultaneously look
at an object, or split your attention between two visual objects and go back and forth while listening to the surrounding sounds. You'll find shutting
the mind off easier than trying to just focus on one thing like meditating on a candle or a mantra. Your mind will constantly wander when focusing on just one
thing. you must go back in forth with your attention to at least two things and then seek the place of silence somewhere. Keep trying and you'll find
the free space of no thinking. No foreign installation. However, the flyer will come back. Yet, our persistent discipline will rebuff it.

Interesting stuff no? Our mind is not just our mind. hmmm.
