There are some interesting correlations between all religions. If you check out:

Some think that Christianity is acctually astrology. With the 12 disciples being the signs of the zodiac. On Dec 22 it's the longest night of the year and was a time of both anticipation and rejoicing at the Sun's rebirth out of the Goddess.

The sun is said to die and be re-born on Dec 25.
It's basically sun worship. Where the father, the sun and the son, Jesus are one. The Zodiac is divided into 4 sets of 3 on a wheel. Like the painting of the last supper. The son dies on the cross and is reborn for the new year. Sun worship goes way back to Egypt.
The Mayans and Buddhist use the same word shambhala to name a place that exists in a pocket dimension. The Mayan and Egyptian sun worship are the same thing.
Carlos Castenada's work is also based on sun worship except that they are useing the knowledge differently. Instead of useing it to enslave, they use if for personal freedom. Like what Seeitall posted on Gnostic seers.
I think that Shambhala was discribed in Carlos' book The Art of Dreaming as the inorganic being's home.
"Shrug" You have a mind, check it out for yourself.
