My former teacher said many, many times that "We don't have a thought of our own.
We are empty vessels,..(clay pots as the Bible puts it) we are either filled with the Holy Spirit, or A Spirit.
What thoughts inspire us tell us which.
If we don't like the thoughts that come to us, we can change which "Spirit" we have influencing us. Bright Flame
