You have to face it ultimately.
You have my compassion and empathy, having walked that road many times in the past I know exactly how hard it is. What I write is based on my own experience.
Fear is a shadow in the mind, or a dark corner of the mind that has not been investigated. If you can face it with Light it will vanish.
If you can extend your attention (with great intensity) and face it directly it will fade.
I recommend reading books by Krishnamurti and Thich Nat Hanh, they can direct you on how to investigate the Fear and root it out so to speak.
Combined with prayer (as Bob said) and the white sage and other rituals of purification, meditation can root out the cause of Fear.
Fear is hard to get rid of, because it does not exist. It's always a "what if". It never happens the way we think. It's always in the
future. It's never Here Now.
Living in the Here Now, there can be no Fear, as Fear does not exist in the Here Now therefore it is not real.
At any rate it will always pass. By observing it and watching it change we begin to lose our fear of Fear.
Ultimately the road back to Sanity is simply this ... learning to live in Reality in the Here and Now.
